The Controller accountable for the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with standard accounting principles. Controller will manage and oversee the work of the financial department on a day to day basis.


  • Graduation from college with financial degree
  • Five years increasingly responsible financial experience including three years in a managerial capacity
  • Experience managing processes, tracking budget expenses, analyzing information
  • Thorough understanding and competence of financial software
  • Experience developing budgets and implementing best practices to ensure sound financial decisions
  • Experience managing department staff of five (5) or more


  • Guides financial decisions by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls
  • Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits, providing information to external auditors as needed
  • Maximizes return and limits risk on cash minimizing bank balances and making investments
  • Prepares budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions
  • Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting and reporting financial data
  • Prepares special reports by collecting and summarizing information and trends
  • Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management team on needed actions
  • Ensures operation of equipment by establishing preventative maintenance requirements and service contracts; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques
  • Completes departmental requirements by delegating, scheduling and assigning work to financial team, following up on results
  • Maintains financial department by coaching, counseling and disciplining staff; reviewing work on a quarterly basis, handling evaluations, disciplinary actions and development of staff
  • Protects operations by keeping all information within the department confidential and safe guarded at all times; Ensures staff understands the importance of confidentiality
  • Maintains a documents system of accounting policies and procedures (SOP)
  • Oversees and manages accounts payables to ensure items are paid in a timely manner
  • Oversees and manages accounts receivable ensuring calls are made to collect monies on a regular basis
  • Ensure bank reconciliations are completed on a regular basis
  • Oversees and manages payroll to ensure work force is being compensated fairly, on a timely basis and accurately
  • Maintain chart of accounts and maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
  • Maintains custodial supplies given to complete tasks by keeping them cleaning and storing them properly at the end of shift
  • Maintains interior of the work vehicle(s) ensuring all tools and equipment is kept in its proper place


  • Work independently with little supervision

  • Time management skills; Ability to work under pressure
  • A criminal background check will be conducted
  • Ability to pass random drug and alcohol screening throughout the year
  • Ability to provide customer service when interacting with various customers throughout the work day


  • Tasks will involve use of public or shared bathroom facilities with potential exposure to blood-borne diseases. Employees are required to wear personal equipment protection (PPE). Fast paced environment; Public space; Time management needed to balance and complete tasks throughout the day.
  • Ability to lift twenty (20) pounds occasionally. The position involves sitting for long periods of time and working on a computer


  • This position is responsible for dressing in business attire which includes, LCS branded items, dress, skirt, suit, button down shirt / blouse; polo shirt, dress pants and dress shoes
  • Tattoos must be covered; Tattoo sleeves should be covered with a long sleeved shirt and / or a tattoo sleeve.
  • Piercings must be taken out during work hours, including all face and mouth piercings.
  • Hair should be kept tied up, clipped or pulled back during work hours
